Proteus is actively seeking to acquire oil and gas properties in California.  Our focus is on properties that have some current production and significant amounts of undeveloped reserves.  Enhanced recovery opportunities (heavy oil, waterfloods, etc.) are of particular interest. 

For those owners that wish to retain an interest in their properties after they have been developed, we have the flexibility to offer farm-out, joint venture and similar structures.  In these cases Proteus puts up 100% of the development capital and the owner shares in the project’s profits.
