Proteus Energy Corporation is an independent California-based domestic onshore oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) company. We acquire, redevelop and operate oil and gas fields located primarily in California and other West Coast locations. We believe this niche in the market provides investment returns comparable to oil and gas exploration plays, but with significantly reduced levels of financial and development risk. We are primarily focused on field redevelopment and resource recovery in the exploitation sector of the oil and gas business. We combine a domestic and internationally experienced, highly nimble, sophisticated energy M&A team with a seasoned field operations and business management team. We currently own working interests in and are actively developing two properties in California, and have a number of additional potential acquisitions in due diligence.
